| This Residence is in the heart of the splendid Tuscan countryside and only a few km away from the lovely beaches of Vada near Cecina (18 km ), Castiglioncello (10 km). In other words in the Riva of the Etruschians.From here it is easy to visit many culture and tourist attractions such as the famous Etruscan Populonia, the cipress tree road at Bolgheri,Castagnet Carducci where the famous poet came from. Many other art centres like Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo.Also nearby the famous hamlet villages of Castellina Marittima e Santa Luce which are built on the red rocks of galestro, a stone that was used to built the village and amongst the green countryside is quite spectacular with a quarry along the Marmolaio river.This residence was rebuilt on the ruins of an alabastro factory on the outskirts of the town of Pomaia.Nearby important mines no longer in use that have become musuems and place for excursions.Not far away ifs the famous buddist monstery of Lama Tzongkhapa which is visited by people from all over the world.In the residence there are two swimming pools for the guests (open from May till September,one for adults 18x9 and one for children 6x6 ), a large park with barbecue and garden furniture and the reception where local products can be bought. A children's playground,mini football field and bowling alley.A welcome present of local products for guests when they arrive.The residence sleeps 110 people in 27 apartments. |
