| This is an imposing villa characteristic of the baroque period dominating the hillside of Vallombrosa, the valley of Vicano and the river Arno, 25 Km from Florence. During medieval times it transpired to become the estate of the abbey of Vallombrosa and from the 15 century the noble florentine family, dei Buondelmonti transformed the estate into a summer residence. Today, the villa with it’s elegant facade, 18 century chapel, front lawn and walled garden has been lovingly restored. Apartments are either in the main house or surrounding farmhouses, with a restaurant, swimming pool and tennis court in the villa grounds. |
